Sheet Pan General Tso’s Chicken and Broccoli Recipe
Ingredients
For the Chicken & Broccoli:

1 ½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs (cut into 1-inch cubes)

1 head broccoli, cut into small florets
-
2 tablespoons cornstarch
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
For the General Tso’s Sauce:
-
¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
-
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
-
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
-
2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
-
1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
-
1 tablespoon grated ginger
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 teaspoon sesame oil
-
1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (slurry)
For Garnishing:
-
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
-
2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
1. Preheat & Prepare the Baking Sheet
-
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
-
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
2. Coat & Roast the Chicken
-
In a bowl, toss the chicken cubes with cornstarch, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
-
Drizzle olive oil over the chicken and toss again.
-
Spread the chicken pieces on one side of the prepared baking sheet.
-
Roast in the oven for 10 minutes.
3. Add the Broccoli
-
Remove the sheet pan from the oven and add the broccoli to the other side.
-
Drizzle with a little olive oil and toss gently.
-
Return to the oven and bake for another 10-12 minutes or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
4. Prepare the General Tso’s Sauce
-
While the chicken and broccoli are baking, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sriracha, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil in a saucepan over medium heat.

Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat.
5. Toss Everything in the Sauce

Once the chicken and broccoli are cooked, remove them from the oven.

Drizzle the General Tso’s sauce over everything and toss gently to coat.
6. Serve & Garnish
-
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
-
Serve hot over steamed rice or cauliflower rice for a low-carb option.
